Music Junk is an Android application that will let you search songs and listen to them from your phone. The user interface is very simple, enter key phrases of the song you’re searching for and the application returns back the results that you can preview,download, or get lyrics from.

Installing Music Junk App

Right after you install Music Junk app, you will see a plain home screen. Do not allow this stop you, the inner workings are usually more than enough payment for the dull style. Remember, it’s about what’s inside that matter. You can see the logo of GHOR Corp. select this app and the version number. You are given the following choices on the home screen too…

• Search Box
• Editor
• Settings
• Exit

Search Box:

Once you tap into on the Search Box text, you are taken to the primary menu. You can see 2 tabs at the top part of the screen. One is the search tab and the other is the download tab. When you type anything into the search box on the search tab screen, you are going to be greeted with so many songs. If you long-press the song title, you will be given the choice to either preview, read through the lyrics or just download the song. If you select preview, it will stream the music from its source and will not be saved to your Micro-SD card. If you select lyrics, a pop-up will appear with the song lyrics and title. If you opt to download the song, it will be shown in the download tab of the app where you can see a progress bar of just how long it should take for the transfer to finish.

Editor:

When you choose the editor from the main screen, you will be taken to a screen which displays all the folders present on your Micro-SD card. If you navigate to the Music folder, you can find all the songs which can be downloaded from the app (and any music you have added manually). If you click on a file, you will be prompted by a dialog box; it has 3 text input spaces – one for the artist, one for the album title, and finally one for the song title.

Settings:

Within the settings menu you will be given only 3 things to change. The first thing is the download path. The next thing is to change the optimum search engine results. Finally, the third option in settings is whether or not you want the tracks’ size to be listed together with the artists and titles.

Exit:

Exit takes you back to your main screen and out of the app.

Pros:

• Good collection of music.
• Great developer.
• Music ID editor.

Cons:

• Dull user interface.
• At times a download will fail when the source is corrupt.
