Sound Of Music – Synopsis
The Sound of Music is founded on a true story of a family, the von Trapps, who lived at the time of WWII. Maria von Trapp authored The Tale of the Trapp Family Singers. The determination of the family motivated the musical which has won the hearts of audiences since its launching in 1959.
The story starts as a young postulant is missing at scheduled prayer time. She is dancing in the hills of her place: Austria. She is called to the abbey, wherein she was scold for singing in the abbey’s halls during prayer time. The Mother Abbess recommends that the abbey is absolutely not the proper place for Maria at the moment in her life, and sends her to be the governess of 7 kids in the home of Captain Georg Ritter von Trapp.
Captain Georg Ritter von Trapp runs his family as he runs his ship. The kids seldom play, are always outfitted properly, and are required to act properly as well. The free spirited Maria did not agree with this kind of parenting, and when the Captain is away she let the kids to discover their imaginative sides, which leads them to find that they sing wonderfully together.
As Marie gets the hearts of the kids, she also gets the heart of the Captain. They are married, and the Captain was asked to serve in the army of Hitler. They plan to have a bold escape which will keep him in this horrible fate and enable them to live together in freedom.
